Getting to Zions National Park

Zion National Park is located in Springdale, Utah in the southwestern part of the United States. To arrive by car heading from the south, take Interstate 15 North. Next, take Exit 16 and take a right onto State Route 9 East. Continue on State Route 9 East to reach La Verkin, Utah. Head into the park and find the Visitor Center on the right side of the road.

  1. If heading from the north, take Interstate 15 South. Take Exit 27. Next, take a left onto State Route 17 South. Turn left onto State Route 9 East and into La Verkin, Utah. Stay on State Route 9 East and head into Zion National Park.
  2. If coming from Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah take State Route 63N. Travel and then turn left onto State Route 12 West. Turn left onto US Route 89 South. Next, turn right on State Route 9 West in Mount Carmel Junction, Utah.
  3. From Mount Carmel Junction stay on State Route 9 West and follow the road into Zion National Park. The Visitor Center is located on the right side of the road.
  4. If coming from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, take State Route 67 North. Travel and turn left onto US Route 89A North. Then, turn L onto State Route 9 West in Mount Carmel Junction, Utah. From there, continue on State Route 9 West into Zion National Park.
  5. If traveling from the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park in Utah, take State Route 64 East. Travel and take a left onto US Route 89 North in Cameron, Arizona. From there turn left onto State Route 9 in Mount Carmel Junction, Utah. Continue on State Route 9 W and into Zion National Park.
  6. If traveling by plane, the closest International Airports to Zion National Park are Las Vegas, Nevada and Salt Lake City, Utah. Las Vegas International Airport is located approximately 170 miles from Zion National Park. Salt Lake City International Airport is located approximately 310 miles from Zion National Park. Regional Airports include Saint George, Utah as well as Cedar City, Utah.
